Here’s Looking at You, Sucker.

Friday, September 11, 2009 – 17:36

There have been many times in my life that I have been told by various people, even those who claim to be Christians, that I am too kind and too empathetic.  That I allow people to take advantage of my weakness and that it will end in tears. To be honest, in most cases it has, mine.

I have refused over many incidents to believe that people are just that wicked.  Circumstances make people do things they might not do normally but this week has finally made the message clear.  I am the sucker!

If you ask me for something, promising to return it, I expect it back.  If I give you something, I do not expect it back.  I have never given and expected something in return, I am too selfish like that, I like giving, it makes me feel good.

So when someone you have provided shelter for including their family, fed and watered in times of hardship turns round and does something like this (http://www.notthenews.net/2009/09/11/identity-stolen-day-1) to you, what lesson is being taught?

I have very negative feelings right now and I am being polite.

May you find the balance, I’m going to have a beer instead, there’s no contentment to be had here today.
